BEA China Ningbo Branch Opens for Business
OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2012. The Bank of East Asia (“BEA”) announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Bank of East Asia (China) Limited (“BEA China”), has opened a new branch in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, reported the press-centre of BEA.
Commenting on the opening of the Ningbo Branch, Dr. David K.P. Li, Chairman & Chief Executive of BEA and Chairman of BEA China, said, “We are pleased to announce the opening of our Ningbo Branch, which enables us to further extend our reach to personal and corporate customers in the dynamic Yangtze River Delta region.”
Ningbo has been a major trade centre since the 7th century, and Ningbo Port is currently one of the largest and busiest ports in Mainland China. The city is also an important centre for the production of electrical products, textiles, food, and industrial tools.
At present, BEA China operates one of the largest foreign bank branch networks in the Yangtze River Delta region, with a total of 23 outlets in Shanghai, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Nanjing, Suzhou, and Kunshan.
BEA China’s Ningbo Branch provides comprehensive Renminbi and foreign currency banking services to all customers. Services include account and deposit services, loans and advances, bill acceptance and discounting, documentary credit and bank guarantees, remittance and settlement, foreign exchange, derivative products, debit cards and credit cards, and overseas investment services for local residents and enterprises.
