Ukraine Accumulated Enough Grain to Prevent Prices Increase
OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2012. The Agrarian Fund in its reserve has accumulated enough grain to meet the needs of bakeries in all regions of Ukraine for baking the most popular variety of bread. Agricultural Fund sells wheat and rye flour at a below by 15-20% of the market price. Currently, an agreement was reached with the bakeries on monthly supplies of 40,000 tons of flour. Thus, there is no reasonable ground for growing social breads prices.
Agrarian Fund to ensure price stability in the market of social breads realizes flour. At this time, the Agrarian Fund’s reserves have enough grain and flour to ensure production needs of baking facilities in all regions of Ukraine for baking bread with a simple recipe (so-called social breads).
In particular, the Agrarian Fund continues contracting with regional bakery businesses to supply flour. Now reached an agreement with 96 bakeries on monthly supply of 40 000 tons of flour. The price of flour, which the Agrarian Fund sells, is below by 15-20% of the market price.
"Thus, baking enterprises of Regions of Ukraine continue to buy flour to produce bread at low prices. Therefore, there is no reasonable ground for growing social breads prices", - commented CEO of Agrarian Fund Igor Yakubowych.
In particular, the Agrarian Fund offers a ton of wheat flour at a price 2896 UAH, a ton of wheat flour of first grade - 2711 UAH, a ton wheat flour of second grade - 2381 UAH, as well as a ton of rye - 2279 UAH.
