Ukraine, EU to Continue Agreement on Programme Black Sea 2007-2013
OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2012. The Cabinet has authorized the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to sign an Additional Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union represented by the European Commission, to the Agreement on the financing of the Joint Operational Programme Black Sea 2007 – 2013.
The corresponding order designed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and it approved at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The purpose of the Additional Agreement is to extend the implementation of the Agreement on financing of the Joint Operational Programme Black Sea 2007 - 2013 for one year - from 31.12.2014 till 31.12.2015. The Extension of the Agreement will complete the implementation of ongoing projects involving Ukrainian beneficiaries and sign contracts for the implementation of new projects under the program.
As of today within the framework of the Programme implemented or under preparation with the Ukrainian side 41 projects that were selected on a competitive basis. Projects aimed at improving the socio-economic development of the border regions involved in the program, the protection and preservation of the environment, support cultural and educational initiatives for the establishment of a common cultural environment in the Black Sea basin.
