OREANDA-NEWS. November 06, 2012. Representatives of FAS Russia and Russian-German Chamber of Commerce met to discuss the issues of antimonopoly control over customs bodies, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The parties exchanged opinions on the problems of developing the markets of customs services. Members of Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, which unites representatives of the largest importers of German products, talked about the barriers facing participants of foreign economic activities moving goods across the border of the Russian Federation, their work experience and the customs law of the member-states of the European Union.

The Head of FAS Department for Control over Financial Markets, Olga Sergeyeva, informed participants about investigating cases against the Federal Tariff Service on violations of the antimonopoly law related to restricting competition between payment systems.

The parties reached arrangements on further cooperation, exchanging information to prevent violations of the antimonopoly law, and improving the mechanisms of antimonopoly control over customs procedures.

“We hope that implementing the Road Map on “Improving Customs Administration” and developing competition on the markets of customs services in 2013 will considerably simplify operations of the participants of foreign economic activities”, pointed out the Head of FAS Department for Control over the Authorities, Vladimir Mishelovin.
