OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2012. JSC IRKUT Corporation is among the leaders of the Fundamental efficiency rating of 4000 enterprises of the Russian real economy sector issued by the Environment-Energy Rating Agency INTERFAX-ERA by the results of 2011. IRKUT Corporation, a part of JSC United Aircraft Corporation, took the 6th place in the Top-150, showing the best performance among Russian engineering companies.

The rating is formed with four criteria: environment-energy efficiency, technological efficiency, dynamic efficiency and environment-energy transparency.

Oleg Demchenko, President of JSC IRKUT Corporation, mentioned: “The increase of economic efficiency through introduction of state-of-the-art technologies and Lean-technologies is the key condition for the development of our company”.

Oleg Demchenko also stressed that the environment protection is the main priority of IRKUT Corporation. “Our production site is placed in the unique Baikal region which nature needs special protection. More over, we are developing MC-21 commercial airliner, which will secure future environment standards”.

The Fundamental efficiency rating reflects the distribution of the country’s largest companies by the ability to work with less environment impact producing more output per unit of energy consumed and natural resources, which improve their efficiency for the last 6 years and demonstrate sufficient public transparency.
