OREANDA-NEWS. November 2, 2012. At the International Forum "Sochi-2012" held in the end of September, federal retail company "Lenta" has signed the Agreement of Intent for implementation of the investment projects in the Krasnodar region. Subject to the above Agreement, "Lenta" plans to invest 7 billion rubles to the construction of its hypermarkets in the Krasnodar region. Parties to the Agreement, "Lenta" Company and First Deputy Governor of Krasnodar region, have also agreed about creation of new jobs. The prospective hypermarkets of "Lenta" are expected to employ over 1,400 local residents.

Opening of the new stores is an impulse for development of the local manufacturers, and a possibility to enter the other markets.

As of today, there are three hypermarkets of "Lenta" chain, opened in Krasnodar region: 2 in Krasnodar and 1- in 2 Novorossiysk. Successful implementation of these investment projects has become possible after signing of similar agreement at the Forum in Sochi in 2007.
