OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2012. “Sinochem Group First Science and Technology Exhibition” was opened in the Exhibition Hall on the first floor of the Chemsunny World Trade Center. On the opening day, Sinochem Group President Liu Deshu and Vice President Li Bin visited the exhibition, reported the press-centre of Sinochem.  

Themed with “New Science and Technology, New Achievements and New Chapter”, the exhibition covered the company’s building of the scientific and technological system, innovation platforms and talent teams, investments in science and technology and key science and research projects assumed by the company, scientific and technological achievements, and intellectual property management and protection, etc. While reviewing the accomplishments the company had achieved, the exhibition also fully expounded the general idea for scientific and technological innovation work of the company in the next phase and mainly described the blueprint of the company for scientific and technological development in the future. The exhibition attracted a great number of employees with the company and its cooperative partners.

In recent years, the company has preliminarily constructed the scientific and technological management system and institutional system that are consistent from the top to the bottom in comprehensively promoting the progress of science and technology. It has also vigorously pushed forward technology enhancements of relevant industries by formulating scientific and technological development planning and implementing scientific and technological investment plans and science and technology awards. At the same time, the company has kept centralized management of intellectual property rights, and strengthened talent team management, achieving remarkable results. Moreover, the company has taken the lead to establish and participate in many strategic alliances for industrial technology innovation of dyestuff, seeds and pesticides and undertaken a large number of key scientific and technological projects at national, provincial and ministerial levels, thus playing an active role in the implementation of relevant national innovation strategies.

Currently, the company has 2 professional research institutions, i.e. Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry and Zhejiang Research Institute of Chemical Industry, and 73 other research and development institutions, including 17 national institutions and 34 provincial institutions, which cover fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, fluorine chemicals, dyestuff, natural rubber and pharmaceuticals. Meanwhile, the company has built an innovation team with 2000-plus members, made up of experts from “Thousand talents program” and about 80 senior experts with the company as the core.
