OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2012. A total of 30 Moldovan economic agents held bilateral business meetings, with representatives of five Belgian companies, operating in the transport, landfill and water filtration sectors.

The event was organised by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Belgium in Bucharest, within the economic multi-sector mission of Belgian economic agents to Moldova.

According to the head of CCI's international relations department, the Belgian company H.ESSERS came up with transports and logistics integrated solutions, such as temperature control and real-time monitoring, secure transportation of goods, satellite monitoring, air-transportation of goods throughout Europe and Air Cargo transportation for special-regime products.

Also the company SOL AZ suggested technologies related to landfill, conversion of disused industrial sites and terracing and construction works. The Belgian company SPAQUE offered its services related to rehabilitation of deposits of waste, soil remediation and environmental expertise.

According to data put out by the National Statistics Bureau, Belgium is one of Moldova's most important economic partners. Thus, export of Moldovan goods on the Belgian market amounted to 6 million dollars in January-August 2012. This makes 94.5 per cent against the same period of 2011. At the same time, the import of Belgian goods on the Moldovan market amounted to 23.4 million dollars, which makes 95.4 per cent against January-August 2011.
