OREANDA-NEWS. November 02, 2012. This year, the state-owned energy group Eesti Energia with its value of 1.389 billion euros topped the ranking list of Estonia’s most valuable companies drawn up by investment advisory firm Gild Corporate Finance. Swedbank AS with a value of 994 million euros came in second, reported the press-centre of Sampo Pank. 

Third place was taken by transportation company Vopak E.O.S with its estimated value of 626 million euros.

Last year, the first three were ranked as follows: Swedbank being the most valuable, followed by Eesti Energia and Vopak E.O.S.

Teliasonera’s Eesti Telekom continues to clime to fourth place with its 549 million euro value. In a year, Ericsson Eesti AS has jumped from ninth place to fifth by an estimated value of EUR 487 million.

It is followed by SEB Pank with EUR 385 million, the Tallink Group with EUR 385 million and Tallinna Sadam with EUR 309 million.

Eesti Raudtee moved up five places and stands in ninth with its estimated value of EUR 279 million. The Viru Keemia Grupp switched its former 24th place for the current 10th with an estimated value of EUR 236 million.

Traded companies are represented in the table based on their market value. The value of the remaining companies has been evaluated on the basis of a benchmark group that includes companies of the same field, region of operation, growth potential, risk profile and profitability from various stock exchanges of the world.
