During this year's 8-day long holiday celebrating Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day, customers use ICBC cards to spend a total of more than RMB 60 billion, totaling RMB 60.1 billion, the highest record spending in golden week so far, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

The amount of money which has been spent using credit cards and debit cards reached RMB 20.3 billion and RMB 39.8 billion respectively, which means RMB 2.54 billion has been spent by credit card holders every day on average and RMB 4.97 billion has been spent by debit card holders every day on average, a big jump from same period last year.

During the holiday period, ICBC offered fast and convenient payment services in electronic banking for those who shop online, a new way to spend. Statistics showed that 14.86 million ICBC e-commerce transactions during the long holiday were paid through B2C totaling RMB 6.06 billion. Every day on average, the turnover was RMB 758 million.

Meanwhile, ICBC continues the effort to provide convenient services for customers to buy and pay air tickets, train tickets online. An example is the services for passengers to buy and pay train tickets online. This year, during the period selling train tickets (September 18-29) before the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, ICBC handled payments for 3.57 million train tickets to a tune of RMB 660 million.
