Aeroflot Released Traffic and Capacity Statistics for September and M9
OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2012. JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for September and 9 months of 2012.
In September 2012 passenger traffic increased by 26.3% against the same period in 2011 and totaled 1,722.1 ths passengers. The highest growth was registered in international passenger traffic which rose by 30.1% (+251.1 ths passengers) hitting 1,085.5 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 636.6 ths which is 20.4% more (+107.7 ths passengers) against September 2011.
Passenger turnover of the company went up by 23.4% against the same period in 2011 and reached 4,904 mln passenger-kilometers. The highest growth was registered in international passenger turnover which totaled 3,426 mln passenger-kilometers which is 29.4% more compared to the same period of 2011. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 11.4% against September 2011 and amounted to 1,478 mln passenger-kilometers.
Seat load factor in September 2012 reached 83.4%, revenue load factor totaled 67.5%.
Aeroflot cargo-mail tonnage totaled 17,577 tonne which is 28.5% more compared to September 2011.
The results for first 9 months of 2012 show that the number of carried passengers increased by 26.1% (+2,752 ths passengers) to become 13,292 ths passengers. Passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 37,771 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 19.7% (+6,219 mln pkm) increase compared with the results for 9 months of 2011. The seat load factor totaled 78.5%.
