Airline Germanwings Operated Its First Flight
OREANDA-NEWS. November 1, 2012. Airline Germanwings operated its first flight. At that time, the airline's fleet consisted only of six aircrafts, which flew from Cologne / Bonn airport to eleven destinations. However, in 2005 Germanwings was the first foreign low-cost airline which started to operate flights to Russia, to Vnukovo International Airport.
Currently, Germanwings is one of the most successful low-cost airlines in Europe. Germanwings aircraft fleet consists of modern Airbus A319 and it ensures high technical level. To conduct regular maintenance, airline has its own technical enterprise and also technical equipment of airline Lufthansa.
Airline provides regular staff training to meet the latest requirements of civil aviation. Pilots also undergo extensive training, They already have many years of professional experience: their education takes place in flight training center of Lufthansa in Frankfurt.
