October 31, 2012.   The new energy vehicle demonstration and innovation seminar recently held in Hefei, capital of Anhui province, informed that after 10 years of continuous research, Anhui province has initially formed the new energy automotive industry chain. Chery, Ankai, JAC three auto companies have their own contributions in the field of new energy passenger cars, passenger cars and commercial vehicles. A total of 37 models reaching the mass production requirements were selected into energy-saving and new energy vehicles promotion-oriented catalog.

Through 10-odd years of independent innovation and independent research and development (R & D), Anhui province has built a relatively complete R & D platform of new energy vehicles and key parts, and a core technology R & D team with domestic leading capabilities and development system. Chery has undertaken the most "863" projects in the national new energy vehicles field. Up to the end of 2011 JAC has completed the demonstration and extension of 1,585 pure electric cars. Ankai has made breakthroughs in many core technologies, its share in pure electric passenger car market ranking 1st in the country.

Currently Wuhu innovative industrial cluster of automotive powertrain and new energy vehicles under construction is a national industry cluster with 62 high-tech enterprises, 32 R & D institutions and 13 service platforms, which will form a new energy automotive industry chain of R & D design, manufacturing and technology services.
