OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2012. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has inaugurated a new station Ipodrom of the Kiev Metro of Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiiska line.

"I am extremely pleased that in such a short time metro builders have constructed a good modern station. It is the fifth station for two years. Such rates of subway construction were not even in Soviet times" - Mykola Azarov said.

He said that in a few months will be opened Teremky metro station - the final station of Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiiska line, then metro builders will focus on the construction of the metro in the Troyeschina district.

Recall that during a familiarization with the reconstruction and completion of high-speed tram line in the residential area Troyeshchyna in Kiev, Mykola Azarov expressed hope that the 12 metro’ station to Troieschyna district would be build in 4-5 years.

The Prime Minister has also got acquainted with new modern train of metro manufactured by Kryukov Car Building Plant.

"It is very important that we got the metro train of domestic production. Train of Kryukov Car Building Plant consumes 30% less power and 20% large than the cars that are used today ", - Mykola Azarov said.

He expressed confidence that with time the metro’s cars will be replaced by new domestic production metro’s cars.
