Ukraine to Further Promote Economic Freedom
OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2012. The Prime Minister has instructed based on analysis the findings and observations of the rating results Doing Business 2013, to find solutions to further increase the freedom of entrepreneurial activity in Ukraine, thus strengthening the position of Ukraine in the world. This was announced by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at a Cabinet meeting.
Prime Minister stressed the newly published World Bank and the International Finance Corporation "Doing Business - 2013" has recorded significant progress in Ukraine, which has risen at once by 15 positions.
"In this global ranking of countries on the analytical conditions for small and medium business Ukraine has risen at once by 15 steps," Mykola Azarov said. "So, our state has shown the most progress among the European countries."
The Prime Minister stressed that "this is the best answer to those claims that as if in Ukraine it is impossible to do business, small and medium business is being destroyed; the best answer to those who demagogic demand to abolish the Tax Code and other deregulation acts of our Government."
"It is obvious, independent confirmation that the policy undertaken by our government gives positive results," said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister informed that greatest increase Ukraine's rating - up to 66 positions - to 50th place in the world - took place exactly in terms of "ease of starting a business." The second highest score - improving by 18 positions - it is exactly for improvements in the field of taxation.
