OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2012. October marked the one-year anniversary of the opening of the PwC office in Krasnodar in southern Russia. The Krasnodar office is the eighth regional PwC office in Russia, reported the press-centre of PwC.
Vyacheslav Solovyov, the head of the PwC Krasnodar office:
"Thanks to the opening of the office in Krasnodar, we are now closer to companies in the south of Russia and accordingly, we are able to more effectively respond to their needs. The new office has also enabled us to expand our client base. Additionally, we are working on diversifying our services. For example, we've recently launched the PwC Academy, which offers a set of training courses that are popular in Moscow and that are now also available in Krasnodar. We are actively offering training to clients via our Diploma of International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) programme, which is very popular in Krasnodar. In this manner, the scope of our services in southern Russia comprises not only just traditional audit services, but other areas as well. All of our audit procedures are the same as in the head office, and the quality of the services we offer in the region are identical."
The market for auditing services in Russia's south is undeniably growing, which is in part due to the economic recovery seen in the country since 2010. Furthermore, business in the region is gaining momentum thanks to the upcoming Olympic Games, which are attracting new resources to Russia's south. For it's first anniversary, the PwC Krasnodar office received warm congratulations from Dmitry Chernyshenko, President of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee:
"I am especially glad that the PwC Krasnodar office is actively involved in the projects that the company is implementing as a partner of the Organizing Committee in preparation for the 22nd Olympic Winter Games and the 11th Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014. Our organisations have been cooperating with one another for almost five years. During this time, we have realised a number of joint projects and collaborated on creating not only Olympic facilities, but also a number of management systems and methods created with the active involvement of PricewaterhouseCoopers. I am certain that your extensive experience in efficiently implementing projects, as well as the continued presence of a world-renowned consulting company such as PwC in the Krasnodar area, will encourage further social and economic development in the region, as well as contribute to boosting the prosperity of its residents. We are proud of the partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers and thank you for your active participation in preparing for the 2014 Games, as well as for your utmost professionalism, qualified assistance and support."
