OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2012. Biennial Sao Paulo Auto Show kicked off in late October as the largest of its kind in South America, bringing together nearly 100 top automakers and automotive parts makers from across the world.
 
On October 24, the first public open day of the auto show, accompanied by high-ranking officials including the minister of development, industry and foreign trade of Brazil and the governor of Sao Paulo State, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff visited the auto show and went straight to Chery booth.

 At Chery’s booth, Dilma cordially talked to Chery leaders Zhou Biren and Du Weiqiang, inquiring into Chery’s best-sellers in Brazil, including QQ and A1 (named Face in Brazil), as well as Chery’s first conceptual model TX which is on the show.

After learning A13 (named Celer in Brazil) is about to be launched in Brazil as Chery’s first model manufactured at Jacarei Plant, Dilma opened the door with interests, inquired about the technical information and characteristics of the model, and debriefed Chery leaders on Jacarei Plant project.
