OREANDA-NEWS. October 25, 2012. SCM has become the General Partner of the 5th International Investment Summit and the exhibition titled 'Investment. Innovations. Development' held in Donetsk on 17-19 October 2012.

This year's summit is a platform to discuss social responsibility as a part of corporate investment strategies as well as investment outlooks, investment in agriculture, innovations and other issues. President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych opened the summit, with Andrey Shyshatsky, Donetsk Governor, and Andrey Fedoruk, Chairman of Donetsk Oblast Council, making welcome speeches afterwards.

SCM was represented by Jock Mendoza-Wilson, Director of International and Investor Relations, who said: “System Capital Management Group is the largest investor in Ukraine and in the Donetsk region investing USD 2billion annually in economic and social development. We are proud to be headquartered here in this city and have been strong supporters of the Summit since it was launched back in 2008. We are pleased to continue this cooperation with the Oblast Administration to promote the investment attractiveness of Donetsk to international and domestic investors which we see as important both for the region’s development as a whole, and for our business group"

The SCM Group has traditionally supported the event in 2012. SCM joined the Summit as a General Partner, whereas Metinvest and DTEK became Official Partners and Vega was a Telecommunications Partner. HarvEast, Donbass TV channel, Donetskiye Novosti, Segodnya.ua and Donbass Palace also partnered with the forum.
