OREANDA-NEWS. October 24, 2012. Based on 2012 second quarter results, LUKOIL-Stavropolenergo and LUKOIL-Astrakhanenergo claimed the 1st and 2nd positions in the “Generating Companies: Implementation of Investment Programs as part of Power Delivery Contracts (PDC)” ratings prepared by the “Market Council” non-profit partnership on a quarterly basis.

As part of the PDC, LUKOIL is to commission five power facilities with a total capacity of 890 MW.

In 2011, the company commissioned a 110 MW CCGT unit in Astrakhan and a 410 MW CCGT unit in Krasnodar.

Currently, two CCGT units with a total capacity of 235 MW (120 MW and 115 MW) are being constructed in Astrakhan.

Additionally, LUKOIL-Stavropolenergo conducts construction of a TPP on the basis of the 135 MW CCGT unit (CCGT Unit-135) within the area of the regional industrial park located in the immediate vicinity of the Stavrolen Petrochemical Complex. The thermal capacity of the CCGT Unit-135 is 58 Gcal/h. As its main fuel, the CCGT unit will utilize dry residue gas produced by a new gas-treatment plant for associated petroleum gas LUKOIL intends to extract at its North Caspian fields. The efficiency coefficient of the CCGT Unit will exceed 51%, which complies with the world’s highest standards. As compared against the operating thermal power plants, the new CCGT unit will make it possible to cut the fuel specific consumption for power generation by 1.5 times and reduce by 2-3 times air pollutant emissions.
