R-Pharm Attended Meeting with President of Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2012. Vladimir Putin had a meeting with Governor of Yaroslavl region, Sergey Yastrebov, and residents of the region. Among the participants were Polina Khorn, a laboratory assistant of R-Pharm’s manufacturing site in Yaroslavl, Ruslan Grekov, Project Director of the middle-range engines project of Avtodiesel, Oleg Zharov, founder of the Ecoline Group and Pavel Kozlov, postgraduate student of Moscow State University.
Governor of Yaroslavl region highlighted successful development of the region and positive dynamics of investment activities. Construction of a new factory starts almost every month. On the day of 1150th anniversary of Russian national identity, August 31, the first stone was put down for the Pharmoslavl production facility. The joint venture of R-Pharm and ChemRar is aimed to produce pharmaceutical substances not manufactured in Russia before.
Participants of the meeting paid special attention to present condition of pharmaceutical industry, implementation of the healthcare modernization programme and lack of qualified human resources. Polina Khorn, an employee of R-Pharm’s manufacturing site in Yaroslavl, highlighted the problem of recurrent trainings: “Professionals are in great demand. Unfortunately no educational programmes prepare professionals for Russian pharmaceutical industry as far as I know.” Vladimir Putin answered: “We have a programme for renovation of medical and pharmaceutical industries. The programme scheduled for five years allocates 120B Rubles. It must be a human resource training part there. It can be used as a source by ministries responsible for education of specialists.”
