SUEK Enterprises Mined 72.3 mn Tons of Coal in M9 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2012. In January through September 2012 the enterprises of the OJSC Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) mined 72.3 mn tons of coal. Against the similar period of the previous year increase in the volume of mining was 10%.
In January through September 2012 sales grew by 2% against the similar period in the previous year and constituted 65.2 mn tons of coal.
Decrease in sales in the domestic market was 4%. Russian consumers bought 37.3 mn tons of coal of which 29.5 mn tons were shipped to electric energy industry companies.
The volumes of cross-borders sales grew by 10% and constituted 27.9 mn tons of coal and along with this the export of own coal grew by 14% and constituted 25.7 mn tons. The main directions of cross-border sales: Chine, South Korea, Great Britain, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, Poland and Israel.
