OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2012. TNK-BP announces that jointly with EMEX it is deploying a unique integrated system for monitoring and consolidating Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) data in all company subsidiaries, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The new system will improve safety levels in the company and ensure that the most effective management decisions are taken in the HSE sphere. Deployment of the new system, which has a common data base covering all company subsidiaries will enable real-time tracking of incidents and detailed statistical analysis of a wide range of parameters to identify current trends and effectively prevent HSE risks.

The system will be available in the form of an application for desktop computers and, in the future, tablet PCs used by company managers and HSE specialists. The process of integrating all subsidiaries into the project, at a total cost of over USD1.5 million, is scheduled for completion during 2013.

“Ensuring maximum protection of people and the environment in all regions of company operations is currently a key priority. The unified monitoring system will enable us to consistently analyse, predict, prevent and react promptly to possible HSE incidents as quickly as possible,” said Elena Kompasenko, TNK-BP Vice President, HSE. “We’re not only working to bring our standards into line with international safety standards- we’re also developing our own, even more rigorous standards, using the most up-to-date and unique technologies”, she noted.

Richard Wall, CEO, EMEX: “We’re thrilled to be working with another innovative operator within the Oil and Gas sector. TNK-BP have an impressive track record in Health & Safety and we’ll be working hard to help them build on those solid foundations.”
