OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012.  The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev met with the delegation led by the US ConocoPhillips (COP) chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ryan Lance.
Welcoming the guests, Mr. Abdullayev stressed the existence of long-term cooperation links between SOCAR and ConocoPhillips. Speaking about energy projects carried out in the country, SOCAR President informed about the Company’s new projects.

Expressing his gratitude for reception, CEO of ConocoPhillips Ryan Lance appreciated SOCAR activity. He noted useful opportunities created in Azerbaijan for foreign companies and pointed out their interest in extension of future cooperation. He also briefed on ConocoPhillips’s onshore and offshore operations in various countries and especially in the North Sea.

In turn, Mr. Abdullayev emphasized successful continuation of joint exploratory works and said that the cooperation between the two countries would deepen in the future.
