OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012.  As a part of familiarization with industrial facilities, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Erbolat Dosaev visited JSC "Locomotive kurastyru zauyty."

President of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy"Askar Mamin presented the contribution of the national company in the industrial-innovative development of the Republic, in the opening of the brand new facilities in the railway industry, creating thousands of jobs.

In the manufactory of the final assembly and testing of locomotives 4 ready locomotives TE33A were demonstrated to the Minister.

Today it is one of the most economical and environmentally friendly locomotives in the world. Locomotives are going on the latest technology of the company "General Electric" and are a competitive product on the world market, and therefore other countries show interest in the acquisition of domestic engineering products. The plant's capacity is 100 locomotives per year.

Just after the opening of the first Locomotive factory it was produced more than 160 pieces of railway freight locomotives and developed more than 11 000 types of parts for each locomotive. Since 2014 the plant workers will launch new passenger locomotives TEP33A. In addition, the growing interest of foreign railway administrations and private holders of the rolling stock in the Kazakh product, due to the quality and efficiency of domestic locomotives is increased.
