OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012. Mr. Feike Sijbesma, CEO & Chairman of the Managing Board of Royal DSM (the Netherlands), Mr. Dick Bongard, Director of “DSM Eastern Europe” LLC, and Minister of Industry and Technology of Samara region Mr. Sergey Bezrukov paid a visit to “KuibyshevAzot” OJSC. Togliatti’s plant was the final point of DSM management business travel to the regions of the Russian Federation with purpose for further development and expansion of cooperation with Russian companies. Earlier they held a number of business meetings: in Moscow – with Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Mr. Ilya Shestakov, and in Tatarstan – with President of the Republic, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov and government officials and representatives of business circles of the Republic of Tatarstan.

At KuibyshevAzot Mr. Feike Sijbesma, Mr. Dick Bongard and Mr. Sergey Bezrukov were greeted and accompanied by General Director of the company, Mr. Victor Gerasimenko and other managers of the company. During the visit guests visited polyamide production of “KuibyshevAzot” OJSC and “Volgaplast compound limited” – joint venture of DSM and Kuibyshevazot that produces engineering plastics at Togliatti site.

Upon completion of the site visit there was a meeting with participation of all of the above mentioned parties, during which they discussed development prospects of the companies’ cooperation using innovative technologies of Royal DSM N.V.

In the light of the agricultural development plans of Mr. I.N. Merkushkin the Governor of Samara Region, experience and capabilities of DSM division - DSM Nutritional Products, could become in high demand because it holds leading positions in the World in production of vitamins, enzymes, carotenoids as well as on feed additives market. In 2011 with support of President and Government of Tatarstan a plant for the production of high quality premixes (vitamin-feed mixtures for livestock sector) was opened and now is operating in Naberezhnye Chelny.

According to Mr. Feike Sijbesma, cooperation with “KuibyshevAzot” OJSC is one of the successful examples of mutually beneficial partnership of Dutch company with Russian enterprises. He also pointed out that he is impressed with the scope of activities and high degree of self-sufficiency of “KuibyshevAzot” in terms of availability of vertically integrated production cycles.

During the meeting Mr. Victor Gerasimenko praised cooperation with DSM and underlined its special importance for further technical modernization and improving of competitiveness of Togliatti’s enterprise. General Director of “KuibyshevAzot” OJSC expressed the intention to seek for new opportunities to expand cooperation with Dutch partners in other lines of activities and provide support for projects in the region.

In turn, Mr. Sergey Bezrukov expressed great interest in further development of joint projects with DSM and other leading foreign companies in Samara region. For this purpose region provides good conditions for potential investors, including tax incentives, the minister said.
