Ukraine, Vietnam to Increase Bilateral Trade Volumes
OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012. Ukraine and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will increase the volume of bilateral trade. This was agreed by the parties during the joint meeting of the Thirteenth Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Vietnamese Commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, held in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Ukrainian delegation headed by Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine Vasyl Tsushko, Vietnam - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Tran Quoc Khanh.
The composition of delegations included representatives of relevant ministries, central executive bodies, organizations, institutions and business communities of both countries.
In particular, participants discussed the bilateral cooperation in trade, industrial, mining, energy, medical and pharmaceutical, agriculture, transport areas and others.
The parties undertook consultations to establish a joint consultative working group of experts to study the prospects of concluding a free trade agreement.
In the course of the event there has also been agreed to facilitate the participation of Ukrainian companies and organizations in the implementation of joint projects in Vietnam in the field of metallurgy, shipbuilding and energy.
