Norilsk Nickel Gives Special Attention to Corporate Security
OREANDA-NEWS. October 22, 2012. OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel (MMC Norilsk Nickel or the Company) has opened another annual two-day corporate security division management panel hosted in a Moscow region branch Imperial Park Hotel. Singling out the main priorities and discussing the security issues faced by the Company within the scope of ensuring Russia’s national security are the top items on the agenda, reported the press-centre of Norilsk Nickel.
Among the panel attendees are: Irina Yarovaya, Head of the Committee on Security and Combating Corruption of State Duma of the Russian Federation; Evgeny Serebrennikov, Deputy Head of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Security and Defense Committee, as well as attendees representing such Russian state departments and agencies as the Security Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affair, the Federal Security Service, the Federal Drug Control Service, the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport.
The panel will raise a broad spectrum of issues concerning the difficulties of investigating illicit base and precious metals trade, counterterrorism and counter-sabotage protection, transport security, counteracting illegal drug trade in industrial areas, including those located in the Company’s production facilities. Another area of discussion concerns preventing threats of base and precious metal trade used to fund organized crime and terrorist activities.
Providing political and social stability, significant for normal livelihood of the regions housing the MMC Norilsk Nickel facilities is likewise on the agenda.
