OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2012. According to economic estimates, there is no reason to increase the price of flour and bakery products. In turn, to ensure price stability, the government has started intervention flour from the state intervention fund for baking enterprises and retail. This was informed by Mykola Prysiazhniuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food at the Third Ukrainian Grain Congress.

"There are trends to growth in prices of flour and bakery products in the domestic market of Ukraine. Economic estimates show there will not be prices rising. Firstly, the Agrarian Fund has 2 million tons of food grains, and we started interventions flour not only in baking enterprises, but also in retail. Secondly, today almost all the baking enterprises are provided with its own grain reserves for 4-6 months," Mykola Prysiazhniuk pointed out.

The Minister also noted the rise in export prices of grain. According to him, it will allow domestic farmers to compensate for those losses they have suffered from adverse weather and climatic conditions.
