OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2012. The Court of Appeal has rejected as groundless a request by the Moldovan-Russian joint venture Moldovagaz to fully cancel the Regulation on the extension of the gas supplies pipelines, the press service of the Chisinau-based Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) reported.

The regulation was approved by the ANRE in November 2011.

The normative document stipulates among others that the beneficiaries (new dwelling owners, including those in multi-storey blocks and the local businessmen developing their activity in areas managed by the public authorities) shall no longer invest in the construction of gas supply pipelines, as this is the remit of the operators of the distribution networks.

These costs shall be included in the gas price later.
