OREANDA-NEWS. October 18, 2012. RDTECH and Financial Group Life announce the completion of the project, which was focused on the creation of the corporate information data warehouse and the management reporting system, reported the press-centre of Probusinessbank.   

The project, launched by the Financial Group Life, is unprecedented in the Russia’s banking sector, because this is for the first time when a consolidated data warehouse was created to encompass operations of seven member-banks of the Group – Probusinessbank, Express-Volga bank, VUZ-bank, Gazenergobank, Bank24.ru, National Savings Bank and Commercial Bank “Poidem!”.

The comprehensive Data Warehouse was created with the purpose of implementing the consolidated management reporting system, based on the common methodological principles, and taking into consideration specific features of each member-bank of the Group.

In the framework of this project, the RDTECH team organized the downloading of data from 24 systems of the initial accounting records of banks, prepared a range of key accounting reporting methodologies, commonly used by the Group (for plastic cards, loans, deposits, total commissions, promissory notes, administrative expenses etc.), and implemented the set of works, dedicated to the management reporting. Analysts of banks and divisions were trained to work with the data warehouse and its analytical instruments. Today the consolidated corporate data warehouse has been put fully in operation.

In the result of launching this full-fledged project, focused on building the corporate data warehouse, the Financial Group Life has an advanced management reporting system, containing the operative and accurate information on all member-banks of the Group, with a unified, documented and transparent methodology, broad opportunities for scalability, tested mechanism of control and improvement of data quality. The common information environment, formed in the course of the project implementation, allows the Group to increase the quality of reports, efficiency of generating reports and accuracy of forecasts, which, consequently, allow specialists of the Group’s business-units in all member-banks to take valid and timely management decisions. 

Dmitry Leonidovich Dadonov, head of the Financial Planning and Analysis Department of Probusinessbank, notes the relevance of this project for member-banks of the Group: "The new Data Warehouse has become one of the key instruments for managing the Group’s performance. It allowed us to significantly expand the volume and scope of reports, used by financial analysts and branch managers of member-banks of the Group, and cut the period, needed for the preparation of reports, as well”.
