OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2012. On October 8-11, as part of the project "Provision of guidance support to the Ministry of Finance to Reform the Budget Process and Aid Management" (BAM project) funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), a Mid-Term Budget Projection Workshop has been carried out at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

The Workshop involved officials of the Economic Reform Coordination Centre, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Financial Management Academy, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Sweden, BAM project and SIDA.

Experts from the Ministry of Finance of Sweden presented an integrated model of macroeconomic and budgetary forecasting and provided practical training on its functioning where participants learned about the model’s abilities to forecast revenues and expenditures. The Workshop has also considered introducing the integrated model of macroeconomic and budgetary forecasting in Ukraine to arrange that such model will be further processed to be adjusted to budget forecasting conditions in Ukraine.
