SCM, DTEK and Metinvest Ranked Ukraine Most Transparent Companies
OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2012. SCM, Metinvest and DTEK top Transparency Index Ukraine 2012. Initiated by the Centre for CSR Development, the ranking evaluates transparency of CSR activities of Ukrainian companies against criteria of the Global Transparency Index.
The Centre for CSR Development has presented annual assessment of corporate social disclosure by big Ukrainian companies. The disclosure practices are evaluated using criteria of the Global Transparency Index (www.gtindex.net). This year SCM Group has rightfully won top three positions in the ranking with SCM gaining 147 points (73% of transparency); DTEK, 133 points (66%) and Metinvest, 127 points (63%).
In September 2012, the Centre's analysts assessed websites and CSR portals of big Ukrainian businesses. The analysis covered a wide range of parameters, from availability of information about CSR policies and approaches to detailed description of existing social and environmental programmes and non-financial reporting according to GRI.
