OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2012. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, adjusted to inflation, it increased 5.7% as compared with August, 2011. In the budget sector the average salary was 2905.1 leis, 15.7% up as compared with August, 2011. In the real sector it grew 8.8% to 3753.7 leis.

The lowest wages are given to fishery workers in August, 2012; their average wage was 1636.3 leis, 0.2% down as compared with the same period of the past year. The average wages in agriculture and forestry grew 11.2% to 2126.2 leis. Wages in the education area remained low too. They were 2324.3 leis (+9.7%) in this August, being 3046.5 leis (+7.1%) in trade and 2565.2 leis (+12.2%) in the hotel and resultant business.

The highest wages were paid to workers of the banking sector and averaged 6805.4 leis, 4.5% up as compared with August, 2011. The average wage at heat-, power- and water -supplying companies made up 5940.4 leis (+12.6%). It was 4829.2 leis (+13.4%) at transport and communication companies.

The average wage was 4339.9 leis (+238%) in the public administration area and 4261.2 leis (+2,3%) at realtor companies.
