OREANDA-NEWS.  October 17, 2012. Ukraine is preparing to report to the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) within the third round of evaluation of our state. The report is on matters relating to the transparency of political party funding and the criminalization of corruption. This was announced by Justice Minister Oleksandr Lavrynovych.

According to the Minister, on 15-19 October 2012, Ukraine delegation comprising representatives of the Ministry of Justice will be in Strasbourg, to take part in the 57th plenary meeting of GRECO. During the meeting, Ukraine plans to analyze ways to implement by other States of guidelines given by GRECO as results of the third evaluation round. In particular, special attention will be paid to the implementation of the Council of Europe exactly those recommendations which are consistent with recommendations provided by Ukraine.

The Minister recalled Ukraine should inform GRECO about implementing recommendations made within the framework of the third round of GRECO evaluation on Ukraine until 30 April 2013.
