First Vice PM of Ukraine Met with German Business Representatives
OREANDA-NEWS. October 17, 2012. The First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi held a meeting with the leadership of Deutsche Bank and representatives of German companies operating or intending to launch investment projects in Ukraine. The meeting was held as part of his working visit to Germany.
The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine highlighted the Government steps to create a more favorable investment and business climate, in particular, simplification of obtaining permits and licenses, simplifying of the procedure of opening and leaving the business and so on. Among the important achievements Valeriy Khoroshkovskyi noted the adoption of new customs and tax codes that have already received praised from foreign investors, and improvement of parameters of automatic VAT refund.
During the meeting, a special attention was paid to energy cooperation, in particular, the problem of the Ukrainian GTS modernization. "For us, an important is the interest of German companies in a number of energy projects, such as the pilot project for modernization of the Ukrainian gas transportation system," the First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine underscored. He added the Government of Ukraine would provide full support to participants in the pilot project for the GTS modernization.
