OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2012. Following the earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 which hit Yiliang County, Zhaotong City of Yunnan Province on September 7, another mudslide recently struck the quake-hit region in Yiliang County, Yunnan province at 8am on October 4, reported the press-centre of China Life.   

The mudslide engulfed a primary school building and killed 18 students.

After the accident, China Life immediately launched its emergency response plan to process the insurance claims on the spot.

China Life confirmed that the 18 studentspassed away were all insured by the company.
