Ukraine, Russia to Promote Their Grain to World Market
OREANDA-NEWS. October 16, 2012. Within the tenth meeting of the subcommittee on agriculture of the Russian-Ukrainian Interstate Commission, which was held in Moscow, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk and Agriculture Minister of RF Nikolay Fedorov previously agreed to create interagency information-advisory body to coordinate marketing policies in the world grain market.
According to the parties, such information and consultation structure will jointly coordinate marketing policies on the world market and avoid any misunderstanding regarding the presence of the Pre-Black Sea Grain Group in foreign markets.
"The creating information and monitoring center of production, consumption and export of agricultural production is a very important issue for both countries. It is this body will give the opportunity to be predictable and stable suppliers of agricultural products, including corn, to foreign markets. Then we can avoid misunderstandings about the presence of our Pre-Black Sea Grain Group in foreign markets" - the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.
In addition to the situation on the grain market, the ministers of the two countries discussed the prospects of further cooperation in the field of safety of agricultural products. In particular, it was agreed that the veterinary service will keep a close dialogue and now, according to ministers it is constructive.
"Russia is the main partner in trade. And today, we have discussed the possibility of simplifying the inspection of our meat and dairy enterprises. Also during the negotiations were initiated the establishment of a single supervisory authority in Russia as it is in Ukraine", - Mykola Prysyazhnyuk noted.
