Sipar Gerdau Athletic Olympics Receives more than 350 Participants
OREANDA-NEWS. October 15, 2012. Sipar Gerdau, Gerdau's operation in Argentina, promoted in September the third edition of the Athletic Olympics held in Rosario in the province of Santa Fe. The initiative aims to improve the quality of life of the students participating through the practice of physical and recreational activities.
More than 350 students from four schools in the region attended the event, which had the support of 30 Gerdau volunteers. Throughout the year, students had the opportunity to participate in preparatory training for the event and were benefited with the donation of sporting goods by the Company. The 3rd Athletics Olympics was directed by the Gerdau Institute, which is responsible for the Company's social responsibility policies and guidelines and was supported by the Department of Sports of the Ministry of Education of the Province of Santa Fe.
