OREANDA-NEWS.  October 15, 2012. Sberbank of Russia participated in the EXPO REAL exposition, one of the largest trade shows devoted to commercial real estate, development and investment, reported the press-centre of Sberbank. 

The Bank had a 78 sq. meter stand which introduced visitors to the basic facts and figures which attest to the scale of the Bank’s operations and capability in the corporate lending and investment banking services markets.

Specialists from Sberbank of Russia participated in panel discussions devoted to recent tendencies in various segments of the real estate market. 

Dmitry Kanushkin, Senior Banker in the Client Managers Division commented on the Bank’s participation in the exposition, “We conducted a large number of meetings with current clients and established contact potential new clients. Sberbank of Russia has extensive experience financing development projects. After the integration with Troika Dialog, out of which the corporate and investment banking business Sberbank CIB was created, we have been able to offer property owners and companies a more comprehensive product line as well as new financing solutions.”

Alexander Gerasimov, Project Director of the Real Estate Finance Division of Sberbank of Russia added, “The qualitative difference between the EXPO REAL exposition and other similar events is the wide range of topics being addressed. It’s not limited to any one particular area of the market. The organizers of the panel discussions were able to cover both the traditional areas of commercial real estate such as the hotel business, logistics, office and retail real estate, as well as relevant new niche segments targeted at particular groups. We were able to meet with key players in the real estate market and better understand their needs as well as share ideas both with financial institutions and leading developers. EXPO REAL is an important forum to present the significant new projects which determine the vector of development in the industry in the near-term. 

The EXPO REAL trade fair has been held annually in Munich since 1998 and serves as a meeting place for key companies in the real estate market. This year’s event was attended by over 1,600 representatives from thirty countries.

Sberbank of Russia was represented at the exposition by employees from the Client Managers Division and the Real Estate Finance Division of the Department of Corporate Clients of Sberbank of Russia.
