OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2012. Earlier, ICBC Beijing Branch in collaboration with Beijing Waterworks Group launched the "Water Bill Payment Link" Service, a service for Beijing residents to pay water utility bill more conveniently through self-service, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

An ICBC executive said, Beijing residents just need to remember customer No. (the 9-digit number on the top left of the bill), go to the nearest ICBC outlet, fill in "Application Form for Water Bill Payment Link Service", assign one ICBC account (new account, or existing account), then pay the bill through self-service. In each bill payment period (water meter reading is checked once in every two months), Beijing Waterworks Group will send the details of water bills to ICBC. ICBC will automatically process the bill payments for the residents. So, there is no need for residents to run to the bank or queue at the counters of Beijing Waterworks Group to pay the water bill.

When signing up the service, Beijing residents just judge how much water is used and set the highest limit for each bill payment cycle, no need to worry about over-deduction. Beijing residents can also sign up free SMS alert service, just give the mobile No. for ICBC to send a SMS after payment. To promote the Water Bill Payment Link Service, staff of Beijing Waterworks Group will leave a brochure to the Beijing residents when reading the water meters.
In recent years, ICBC has been dedicated to provide fast and convenient financial services to Beijing residents, said an executive with ICBC Beijing Branch. The Branch has installed another 1500+ ATMs in Beijing and expanded the use of self-service devices for 10-odd innovative services for Beijing residents to use passbook to deposit money and pay bills, pay traffic fines, make medical appointment, pay bills through other banks. Beijing folks no longer need to queue up and experience the convenience of self-service financial services.
