OREANDA-NEWS. October 12, 2012. Jilin Jigang Clean Energy Co. Ltd., a joint venture (JV) between two subsidiaries of China National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC), has begun building a RMB 4.9 billion (USD 772.15 million) gas liquefaction plant in northeast China’s Jilin Province, the state-run Jilin Daily reported.

The first phase of the project in Songyuan City will have capacity of 500 thousand tons per annum, rising to two million tons when fully constructed, according to the report.

The initial phase is scheduled to become operational by the end of 2014.
