OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2012. The Government of Sakhalin Region and Ingosstrakh Insurance Company have concluded an agreement on cooperation. The primary goal of the document is the improvement of the insurance coverage of individuals and entities of Sakhalin Region, providing them with high-quality insurance service. The agreement was signed by Sergey Khotochkin, Deputy Chairman of the Sakhalin Region Government and Aleksey Sokolov, Deputy General Director of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has an intention to promote the insurance popularization within the territory of Sakhalin Region and the insurance culture improvement, as well as to discuss the guidelines for the insurance coverage of individuals and business entities of the Government of Sakhalin Region in the course of development and implementation of insurance programs and projects.

Signing of the agreement coincided with the important event for the city and the company itself – the ceremony of planting The Lane of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. The environmental event with the same name is held in the cities of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company presence and dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the insurance company. In each city organizing the event, the participants plant 65 trees, in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – these are nursery transplants of mountain ash. It is planned by the company to plant some 3,000 trees in approximately 40 cities of Russia till the middle November. The event called The Lanes of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company is held within the framework of the program The Billions of Trees, which is the global campaign for trees planting implemented in accordance with the UN Environment Program (UNEP).

The event was visited by the Chairmen of the City Council of Yushno-Sakhalinsk Sergey Dmitriev, deputies of the Sakhalin Region Duma and the City Council of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, as well as by partners and clients of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company, employees of the company, and citizens. All the participants were given an opportunity to make their contribution into planting of greenery in the city, and to plant a tree with a signature table.

"Signing of the agreement on cooperation with the Government of Sakhalin Region proved to be threefold-festive as it was held as part of the celebration of the 130th anniversary of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the 65th anniversary of the region, as well as planting of The Lane of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company within the framework of celebrating the 65th anniversary of our company," said Aleksey Sokolov, Deputy General Director of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company. "Singing of the agreement will promote the development of the public and competitive insurance market of the region, the quality improvement of citizens' and entities' insurance coverage, as well as the increase in the level of insurance culture, without which the improvement of the living standards of Sakhalin Region population is impossible."
