OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2012. The domestic agricultural producers have sown winter wheat at 5.8 million hectares, i.e. 87% of the projected areas and they are completing planting rye. In particular, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk and Chernihiv Regions have actually completed sowing. This was announced today by Oleksandr Demidov, the Director of the Agriculture Department of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

"For today, Ukrainian farmers have sown 81% of winter crops, or 6.6 million hectares. The wheat has been planted at 5.8 million hectares, accounting for 87% of the forecast. The agrarians have almost finished planting rye, that is, they have already planted 292,000 hectares or 95% of the forecast.
