John Traynor joined Alfa-Bank in September 2012 as Head of Transaction Banking reporting to Vladimir Tatarchuk, First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, where he will be responsible for the development of Alfa-Bank’s transaction business, reported the press-centre of Alfa-Bank.

John Traynor has over 25 years of experience leading Global Transaction Banking businesses for large International and Regional banks around the world. He has worked and lived in New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles, Cleveland, London, Amsterdam, Singapore, Sao Paulo and now Moscow. John has travel extensively throughout North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

Traynor had global responsibility for large corporate and financial institution clients for Citibank Transaction Services between 1985 and 1995. Prior to that assignment he had senior management roles at City Cards and City Mortgage between 1980 and 1984.

In 1995, he was appointed North American Business Head of Global Transaction Services for ABN AMRO Bank based in Chicago. Later he moved to other regions for similar roles. He was a member of the executive committee. In 2007-2010, upon merger of ABN AMRO John Traynor handled transaction business in regional American Banks. In 2010, he was head of the division at Barclays rendering cash-management services.

John Traynor holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from Fordham University in New York. He is married and has a daughter.
