OREANDA-NEWS. October 10, 2012. Ms. Lada N. Smakhtina has been appointed as Director of the NBU Financial Monitoring Department.

Ms. Lada N. Smakhtina has an extensive experience in the Banking industry. In 1999, Mr. Lada N. Smakhtina launched her career at the National Bank of Ukraine where has held the positions of legal adviser (grade 2 and 1), leading legal advisor of the Legal Department, senior legal advisor, and head of the sector of the Financial Monitoring Methodology Office of the Department for Preventing Legalization of Proceeds from Crime and Terrorist Financing through the Banking System.

In 2008, Ms. Lada N. Smakhtina moved to PJSC ”ING Bank Ukraine” where she held the position of Head of Compliance and was a member of the management board. On 28 September 2012, she was appointed as Director of the NBU Financial Monitoring Department.
