Italy Considers Ukrainian Market as Quite Stable
OREANDA-NEWS. October 10, 2012. Italy considers Ukrainian market as a stable and attractive for the implementation of joint projects. This was announced by the Italian Foreign Ministry adviser Vincenzo Ercole Salazar Sarsfield during a road show of national projects of Ukraine in Rome.
"We are grateful for the Ukrainian colleagues’ choice to hold the final presentation of the European part of their world tour right in Rome. Ukrainian market is fairly stable in terms of macroeconomic indicators and today's road show will be a major push to increase trade between the countries"- said the Italian Foreign Ministry adviser.
President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine Maurizio Carnevale for his part stressed that, despite the global financial crisis, the private sector in Ukraine is developing dynamically. "It is the view of Italian business," - he added.
Representatives of more than 50 Italian companies and organizations, including the National Power Company ENEL, the National Agency for Tourism in Italy, the financial support of the Italian company for business overseas SIMEST, combining CCI Italy were attended the presentation of Ukrainian investment projects.
According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, on July 1, 2012, foreign direct investment in Ukraine from Italy reached 985 million dollars USA. Since the beginning of the year they increased by 11.3 million USA. Among 27 EU member states in terms of investment in the Ukrainian economy Italy is on the 8th place.
