OREANDA-NEWS. October 9, 2012. Russian Federal Aviation Authority Rosaviatsia has given the green light for the UTair Aviation petition to perform international flights on the Moscow – Kiev route 7 times a week. The decision was announced at the Rosaviatsia interdepartmental commission meeting for issuing international flight permission in September 2012.

UTair Aviation partner airline UTair-Ukraine received approval from Ukrainian aviation authorities to perform daily flights on the route from Vnukovo International Airport to Kiev Zhulyany Airport starting from September 11.

The new arrangement will double the number of convenient daily connections between UTair's broad Russian route network and the UTair-Ukraine network, also enabling decreased airfare for travelers taking advantage of through-fare tariffs.

UTair Aviation has also received approval to perform daily flights from St. Petersburg to Brussels and from Ulyanovsk and Chelyabinsk to Munich twice a week.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2011 UTair aircraft transported 6,750,425 passengers. In January-June 2012 UTair Group serviced 40.9% more passengers than for the same period of 2011. In 2012 the airline expects an increased transport volume of up to 10 million passengers. The airline operates more than 200 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.
