OREANDA-NEWS.  October 09, 2012. This is provided by amendments to the Winegrowing and Wine Law passed by the Parliament in the first reading. According to the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Vasile Bumacov, licensing on winegrowing and winemaking will be replaced with a new, more effective mechanism of stocktaking of economic agents.

They will be recorded in the Winegrowing and Winemaking Register. The current mechanism, as well as documents required to obtain the license and causes for its suspension and revocation are hampering the development of the winegrowing and winemaking in Moldova. Vasile Bumacov called groundless licensing of business in the area of key importance for Moldova since it exports wine.

He noted that in such European countries ad France, Spain, Italy and Austria winemaking and wine selling are no licensed either. The current procedures of the licensing create groundless obstacles for opening and running business in the area of winemaking and winegrowing since impose on small and medium companies overwhelming requirements most of them are useless.
