OREANDA-NEWS. October 8, 2012. Zaporizhstal Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works invested around UAH 3 million in modernisation and reconstruction of the scrap yard. The enterprise has purchased two new modern mobile reloaderes of German company “Terex Fuchs” for upgrading of scrap loading and processing efficiency.

The program of systematic modernisation and reconstruction of capacities is realised at the Integrated Works on permanent basis, the production equipment is updated. New mobile reloaderes MHL 340 D and MHL 350 will replace obsolete overhead gantry cranes. New machines correspond to high European standards, they are more economic, and have high rate of productivity, advanced technical characteristics. Cabins of reloaders are equipped with the modern electronic equipment.

This modernisation will allow to double volumes of scrap processing for the Open-Hearth Furnace Shop of the Integrated Works, reduce demurrage of cars and practically to lower twice operating costs, expenses on machinery maintenance and repair. It will enable the enterprise to lower production cost as a whole.
