Dr Jorg Zeuner is the new Chief Economist of KfW Bankengruppe. Dr Zeuner, who has a doctorate in economics, introduced himself to the public in the context of a press briefing on 1 October 2012. He follows in the footsteps of Dr Norbert Irsch, who retired after serving more than 30 years with KfW.
At the press briefing "Germany Facing an Economic Test", Dr Zeuner spoke on the challenges facing Germany.
"We are pleased that in Dr Jorg Zeuner we have been able to win a competent economist and acknowledged capital market expert for KfW", said Dr Ulrich Schroder, Chief Executive Officer of KfW Bankengruppe. "He brings broad experience in macroeconomics and has for many years focused on the effects of globalisation - a topic that is also of considerable importance to the German SME sector."
At KfW, Zeuner serves as head of the economics department and as Chief Economist. Prior to that he was Chief Economist at VP Bank, Vaduz, Liechtenstein and also served for more than ten years in various positions at the International Monetary Fund in Washington.
